It’s a black comedy set in Havana during the Fulgencio Batista regime and is about Jim Wormold, a vacuum-cleaner salesman in Cuba who joins the British Secret Service in order to keep up with his daughter’s expensive tastes. Stringing his superiors along with phony reports about “recruiting” fictitious agents and “discovering” mysterious installations, Wormold soon becomes enveloped in a web of complications.
